Establish Purpose

Purpose:
This department was established to promote and develop food industries such as sorghum wine in the Kinmen area and to prepare for the biotechnology industry. Another course focuses on information application and biological resource development, as well as professional talents with the ability to absorb the latest food information and basic biotechnology to meet the industrial needs of the new century.
The teaching of this department focuses on cultivating technical talents in the food industry, who are expected to be able to undertake tasks such as food processing, manufacturing, analysis, inspection, management and production. The department is also highly relevant in "cultivating international professionals with balanced development of five educations and both theory and practice", and echoes the polytechnic's educational goals of "cultivating basic scientific knowledge and professional skills while respecting multiculturalism and "Outstanding talents with international vision" is the educational goal and school education goal.
This department also cultivates talents with the following three goals: local inheritance, sustainable development and creation of cultural characteristics.
(1) Cultivate agricultural product processing talents for island agricultural specialties.
(2) Cultivate talents in wine, production and analysis in line with regional characteristics.
(3) Cooperate with the national development plan to cultivate basic technical talents in the food industry.
